Manny “Pacman” Paquiao: A Living Legend


Born on December 17, 1978, Emmanuel Dapidran Pacquiao, or famously known as “Manny Pacman” Pacquiao was a simple boy living at General Santos City, Philippines. Pacquiao’s younger years in his home town, General Santos City, was already a battle field for survival, and because of poverty he had to work different kinds of jobs to earn for his family. The little boy grew on the streets where he was engaged on fights with other kids and learned the reality of life. When he was 6 years old, their father, Rosalio Pacquiao, left their family and his mother, Dionesia Dapidran.

A young, simple boy, born and struggled because of poverty put the Philippines back on the map.
He is the fighting pride of Philippines, a hall of famer and without question, a living legend.
But when will Pacman end his career? Who will he finally take-on to end a wonderful run of the living legends fighting career? And who will take his place?

Speculations about Pacquiao’s final opponent, before leaving the boxing world revolves around the big name of ex-Pound-per-Pound boxer, Mayweather Jr. Mayweather has taken part of the fame in the boxing ring, he has not yet been defeated and is said to be the best, in fact, the Boxer that could either end or give Pacman, the final battle before resignation. But the conflict of this dream fight is still a question. Mayweather Sr. accused Pacquiao of using steroids, which triggered Pacman’s camp to file a case against the accusation. The boxing world is awaiting the final decision.

Many have said that Mayweather Jr. is scared to fight Pacquiao? But Mayweather could only prove this wrong when he meets the champion in the ring. 

Pacquiao said in an interview that a few fights more and he will finally rest and concentrate on his being Governor of Sarangani Province, Philippines.

Meanwhile, Manny ‘Pacman’ Pacquiao has an upcoming fight with Marquez, an old rival. Seven years had passed when they 1st met, Pacquiao-Marquez 3 will be held on the MGM Grand Arena, Las Vegas. The Pacquaio vs. Marquez III will be on November 12, 2011 and will be live on HBO Pay-Per-View or on Live Stream Internet access.
